Answer:

The invention of the cotton gin.

Explanation:

The South being favourable to the climate depended on agriculture. Before the invention of Cotton Gin, cotton production remains limited to slaves. With the coming of Cotton Gin by Eli Whitney in 1793, it reduced the time and labour by removing seeds from the fibres. It increased the need for slaves in the plantations for cultivating cotton and picking the cotton fibres in fields. Cotton cultivation became beneficial for the cultivators. Many of the states in America began to emerge as slave states as the cotton production turn out to be profitable.

Write an editorial that responds to George Washington's Farewell Address. Explain whether or not you think Washington was correc
nikitadnepr [17]
In my opinion, George Washington's Farewell Address was a fair and clear warning against political parties/alliances. The reason being is because, having all these alliances and political parties would cause a war. If everyone stated their opinions, and someone doesn't like it, then they will fight about it until the conflict is resolved. Republicans formed a number of societies and clubs throughout the nation, which spread criticism of Washington's political decisions. This caused the birth of the Republican Party after Thomas Jefferson resigned from Washington's cabinet. Washington was against the Federalists which caused a little conflict with the Republican Party. Further more, more evidence provides that Washington's address was a fair warning, due to the fact that more conflict grew in his later term of presidency. Battles raged in the press, attacking one's political views. All in all, i would say that Washington's Farewell Address was a fair, and clear warning. It was correct in my opinion. hope this helped, have an amazing day :)<span />

What were people amazed with during World War I?
Ahat [919]

Answer:

Human's capability to turn into violence for issues that can be solved diplomatically.

Explanation:

For the people who live in that period, the idea of World War I probably sound ridiculous. People thought that they're already passed the age of violence and murder. But they couldn't be more wrong.

World war I might be triggered by the Murder of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria. But the fact that so many countries participated in it indicates that it actually the result of years of political problems, competition to obtain power/influence, and  nationalistic pride.

If the countries at the time decided to set aside their egoistical nature and choose diplomatic approach to solve their problems, They could've prevented more than  20 million deaths.
