Answer:

Number of quarters → 15

Number of dimes → 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of dimes I have = y

And number of quarters = x

Since, I have amount in my pocket = $2

Therefore, 0.10y + 0.25x = 2

100(0.10y + 0.25x) = 100×2

25x + 10y = 200

5x + 2y = 40

2y = -5x + 40

y = -2.5x + 20 ---------(1)

Total number of coins in my pocket = 17

x + y = 17

y = -x + 17 ---------(2)

By using a graphing calculator we can graph these two lines (As attached)

Solution of the given system of equations will be the point of intersection of these lines.

Solution → (2, 15)

Number of quarters → 15

Number of dimes → 2

HELP !!! Use the elimination method to solve the system of equations.
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

C. (5, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

4x + 3y = 11

x - y = 8 (multiply by 3) --> 3x - 3y = 24

4x + 3y = 11

3x - 3y = 24

---------------------add

7x = 35

x = 5

5 - y = 8

y = 5 - 8

y = -3

Law of sines and cosines
how do I do this question when it is not SSS, SAS, ASA, or AAS.
Viktor [21]
To solve a triangle using law of sines you must have the length of one side and the measure of the angle opposite that particular side. Then you must have one other piece of information, either one more side length or one more angle measurement. However in some cases when the information you are given is two consecutive sides, and the angle is not between the two consecutive sides, then there exists the possibility that there are two different triangles that will satisfy the given information.
