Devide (a2+ 7a+ 12)÷ (a+3)
arlik [135]

Answer:

(a - 3) • (a - 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first term is,  a2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  -7a  its coefficient is  -7 .

The last term, "the constant", is  +12

Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • 12 = 12

Find two factors of  12  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   -7 .

     -12    +    -1    =    -13

     -6    +    -2    =    -8

     -4    +    -3    =    -7    That's it

Rewrite the polynomial splitting the middle term using the two factors, -4  and  -3

                    a2 - 4a - 3a - 12

Add up the first 2 terms, pulling out like factors :

                   a • (a-4)

             Add up the last 2 terms, pulling out common factors :

                   3 • (a-4)

Add up the four terms

                   (a-3)  •  (a-4)

Really hope this helps :)

Select ordered pairs that's satisfy the function Y=-6x-2
sveticcg [70]
Basically, u just sub in any number for x and solve for y

y = -6x - 2.....lets say x = 0
y = 6(0) - 2
y = -2....so when x is 0, y is -2 .....(0,-2)

y = -6x - 2....lets say x = 1
y = -6(1) - 2
y = -6 - 2
y = -8.......another solution is (1,-8)

y = -6x - 2....lets say x = 2
y = -6(2) - 2
y = -12 - 2
y = -14....another solution is (2,-14)

y = -6x - 2....lets say x = 3
y = -6(3) - 2
y = -18 - 2
y = -20...another solution is (3,-20)

I think u get the idea now :)

Noemi wants to divide 2x2−x+4 by x−5 using synthetic division. Which answer shows the correct process
qaws [65]

The 4th option is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Here we will place the opposite of the number of the divisor in the top left box. Now we will bring down the coefficient of the squared term or 2. Now, we will multiply the number in the top left box or 5 with the times of the coefficient of the squared term. This gives 10 and we will place 10 in the second column. This column now contains -1 and 10 and adding these we get 9. Now we will multiply 5 with the result of the second column or 9 to get 45, We will place 45 in the third column which already has 4, and adding both we get 49.
