Of the list, the best answer is C) Automakers on the verge of collapse. GM, Chrysler and Ford (the Big 3 United States Automotive companies) were bailed out in 2009 following their request for a rescue bailout. This was controversial because, like other corporate bailouts that occurred at the time, the concept of "fairness" felt at best subjective and at worst disregarded. Some companies were rescued while others were not, and the American people did not have the privilege of an enormous bailout.

Some action was taken to insure sub-prime mortgages, and thus to help protect homeowners struggling following the housing crisis, but this was less controversial and also did not happen on such a large and immediate scale.

What was an argument used to try to justify slavery?
saul85 [17]
Answer:

The southern economy hugely depended on the use of slavery.

Explanation:

One important argument the South saw reasonable and justifiable to not abolish slavery was its dependence for the growth of its economy. In other words, the South's economy was maintained due to the work of the enslaved.

The South's economy was agriculturally based. They did not have factories and large businesses like the North did. They relied on farms and the growing of crops. There were many farms and plantations with too many crops to harvest for the owner, and that's when slavery came in. Not only did Slaves work on farms and plantations, they did manual labor including construction.

Because the southern economy was heavily dependent on slavery, southern slaveholders fought hard to keep slaves. This argument was probably the most reasonable reason to keep slavery made by the South, although it is just as cruel as any other reason for servitude.

To summarize: the South's economy would not survive without slavery, and southern citizens would not make as much money without them.

Two to three sentences describing how women contributed to the war effort and how these contributions impacted the outcome of th
Tanzania [10]
Okay so i know women supplied the troops, organized fundraising drives, and worked as nurses for the wounded soldiers. this could impact the outcome because it could mean less casualties with the women providing care and offering supplies to battle the cold and other forces of nature (not sure if that would work but it possibly could). during the revolutionary war women also acted as spies which could prove very beneficial because they could host british soldiers in their homes and tell the american soldiers of where the british were planning to attack (on a side note this was also good because no one suspected women of being able to spy and do things such as that). hope this helped!

Opinion sobre New Deal
BartSMP [9]
The New Deal was responsible for some powerful and important accomplishments. It put people back to work. It saved capitalism. It restored faith in the American economic system, while at the same time it revived a sense of hope in the American people.
