How did the Magna Carta influence the United States Bill of Rights?
anyanavicka [17]
The Magna was a big influence of the Constitution of the United States of America as well as its individual states. The influence it has was formed by Americans who lived in the 18th Century who believe the Magna Carta symbolized the people’s rights against a tyrannical ruler. This has shaped American’s attitude of distrust of strong political power. Due to this political point of view most of the state constitutions incorporated declarations of rights intended to ensure a list of protections and immunities for individual citizens from the state government. The United States also adopted the Bill of Rights because of this political view.

How would you describe the beliefs that ancients societies held about the creation of the world?
s2008m [1.1K]
Ancient civilizations often credited the creation of the world to other worldly - or as we'd think of them today "supernatural" - beings who they personified as being decidedly human. The ancients did not tend to have the sort of scientific, logical, evidence-based understanding of the workings of the world that we have now. Instead, the credited the creation of the world to beings who they imagined as being human, in a sense, but also far more powerful and mystical.
