now, let's solve :

multiplying [1] by 3

=》 3x - 2y = 11

subtracting

now, subtracting [2] from [1]

=》3x + 3y - 3x + 2y = 21 - 11

=》5y = 10

=》y = 2

now, plugging the value of y as 2 in equation [1]

=》x + y = 7

=》x + 2 = 7

=》x = 5

So, value of :
