3. Explain a frameshift mutation

Biology
1 answer:
Zielflug [23.3K]3 years ago

Answer:

Frameshifts are caused by the addition or deletion of a nucleotide in the DNA sequence. It does not occur if there are three deletions or additions simultaneously (because codons are 3 nucleotides long). A frameshift mutation will cause the reading of the codons after the mutation to code for different amino acids. It also alters where the "stop" codons are located.

1. Green, because it serves as a perfect camouflage against prey in vegetations.

2. It is a process whereby a breeder of animals or plant cultivator, chooses to breed between different species for their characteristics that are inheritable.

3. Mutations is an evolutionary process that helps a specie better adapt to their environment. DNA changes causes by mutation can help lighten or darken colour pigment. Like in the dark-coated mouse, where 9 changes to the DNA coding for color makes its fur lighter for better camouflaging.

What happens if arthritis destroys cartilage in a joint?
Ratling [72]
Hey!

Wat a coincidence! I just gave a speech on arthritis today! :D

If arthritus destroys cartilage in a joint, everything that is supposed to support the joint - such as ligaments, muscles and tendons - will weaken, and this will lead to pain known as RA.

Someone I knew had arthritus, and when it destroyed the cartilage in her joints, she was unable to walk anymore.
