The three sides of a triangle are in different colors – blue, green and red. The ratio of the length of the blue side to the len

gth of the green side to the length of the red side is 3 : 4 : 5. The perimeter of the triangle is 240 cm. a) Fill in the blank: ___ units = 240 cm b) Fill in the blank: 1 unit = ___ cm c) What is the length of the red side of the triangle?

Answer:

The perimeter is the distance around the triangle. Given the ratio, the perimeter using the ratio is;

= 3 + 4 + 5

= 12 units

a. <u>12 units</u> = 240 cm

The perimeter in centimetres is 240cm and in ratio is 12 units so they are equivalent.

b. <u>1 unit </u>= 20 cm

If 12 units are to 240 cm, 1 unit is;

= 240/12

= 20 cm

c. Length of red side;

Red side has length of 5 units. 1 unit is 20 cm.

Length in cm is;

= 5 * 20

= 100 cm

The sum of two prime numbers is 85. What is the product of these two prime numbers?
hodyreva [135]
Observe that 85 is an odd number. That means, one of the prime numbers must be even to have an odd sum with another odd number. As we know, the only even prime number is 2. Hence, the other number is 83. So, the product of these two prime numbers is 83 x 2 = 166. Thus, the answer is 166<span>. </span>

The length of the brace required is 4.3m

What is sine rule?

In a ΔABC a, b and c are the sides and A, B and C are angles then,

\frac{a}{SinA}=\frac{b}{sinB}=\frac{c}{sinC}

We can find the length, l as shown below:

Let AB=3m, BC=2m and AC=l

Let ∠A=25°

So, in ΔABC

\frac{BC}{sinA}=\frac{AB}{sinC}=\frac{AC}{SinB}

\frac{BC}{sinA}=\frac{AB}{sinC}

\frac{2}{sin25}=\frac{3}{sinC}

\angle{C}=sin^{-1}(\frac{3\times sin25}{2} )

∠C=39.34°

∠A+∠B+∠C=180°

∠B=180°-25°-39.34°

∠B=115.66°

\frac{BC}{sinA}=\frac{AC}{SinB}

\frac{2}{sin25}=\frac{l}{sin(115.66)}

l=\frac{2\times sin(115.66)}{sin25}

l=4.2659

Rounding to nearest tenth of meter.

l=4.3m

Hence, the length of the brace required is 4.3m

|3x+6|+3=6<br> What is the answer?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

x=-3 or x=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract 3 from both sides of your equation, it should look like this |3x+6|+3-3=6-3.

Simplify to get |3x+6|=3

Apply the absolute rule to get 3x+6=-3 or 3x+6=3.

3x+6=-3 : x=-3

3x+6=3 : x=-1

I'm glad I was able to help have a great day!
