Answer:

Two possible negative implications that free higher education could have on prospective students would be the following:

-A greater student competition, where by virtue of the right to equal and unrestricted access to education, these prospective students would see their possibilities for academic development liquefied, by competing with an unlimited number of peers both in access to vacancies and in the internal possibilities of University.

-On the other hand, free education, by guaranteeing unrestricted access without academic limits, would lower the level of universities, limiting the academic development of more qualified students.

Which stage of the general adaptation syndrome is characterized by the body's attempt to restore homeostasis?
Luda [366]

Resistance stage of the general adaptation syndrome is characterized by the body's attempt to restore homeostasis.

During the resistance stage, the body tries to counteract the physiological changes that happened during the alarm reaction stage. The resistance stage is governed by a part of the ANS called the parasympathetic.

The general adaptation syndrome (GAS) was first proposed by Hans Selye in his classic 1936 letter to the editor of Nature. It's consisting of three stages:- (1) alarm, (2) resistance, and (3) exhaustion.

Its resistance, during which the body adjusts its reaction in an effort to cope with a threat that is still present.
