Allosteric enzymes can control their output of product by

Biology
1 answer:

Answer:

Conformational change

Explanation:

To understand how allosteroic enzymes work, one has to know how enzymatic reactions are executed. See below:

 _{E}

A ⇒ B

A: Represents the substrate of the reaction

B: Represents the product of the reaction

E: Represents the enzyme that catalyzes this reaction

Enzymatic reactions normally are controlled by the amount of substrate (A) or product (B) present in the environment. One way enzymes can control the reaction rate is through the presence of allosteric sites. These are specialized regions capable of binding molecules called effectors, causing a conformational change in the enzyme which leads to either acceleration or stalling of the reaction (depending on the specific enzyme and/or effector under study). Both substrates (A) and products (B) may act as effectors, resulting in, respectively, acceleration and slowing of the reaction.

Explain why DNA replication is more complex in eukaryotes than in bacteria.
svet-max [94.6K]
In eukaryotes, the DNA strands are linear, and DNA polymerase can't replicate the very ends of the DNA strands! These ends are "protected" by repeated sequences called "telomeres." Either the chromosome gets shorter with each replication, or else a special enzyme-nucleic acid complex called telomerase adds new telomeres to the ends. A prokaryotic chromosome is circular and thus does not have the problem of having ended.

Eukaryotic DNA is wound around histones, coiled, and supercoiled -- to replicate it, there have to be unwinding mechanisms, and mechanisms to reduce the degree of coiling. In prokaryotes, the winding problem is much less, and there aren't any histones.

Which resource takes the longest amount of time to renew?
mash [69]

Answer is c. Natural gas.

Natural gas is a fossil fuel in liquid form that can be used as an energy source. It is found in subterranean reservoirs, often near oil deposits. It is non-renewable energy source. It takes very long time to renew. Natural gas is less pollutant as compared to coal and petroleum because when it's burned, it releases 25 % fewer greenhouse gases and pollutants. hydroelectric power, solar power and nuclear energy are renewable sources.

Why cannot we digest raw green plants in our alimentary canal?
Triss [41]
We basicly can't digest them as it has cellulose and we can't digest cellulose .acc. to me in olden days early men used to survive with raw green plants because the cellulose is digested by our appendix but slowly as we stopped eating raw green plants the appendix lost it function tooo. so we should always eat a selective plant like lettuce
