25x+120=35x+80

25x+120 is Country Carpets equation

35x+80 is City carpets equation

x=4

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

                    25*x+120-(35*x+80)=0

Pull out like factors :

  -10x + 40  =   -10 • (x - 4)

Solve :    -10   =  0

Solve  :    x-4 = 0

Add  4  to both sides of the equation :

                     x = 4
