What is segregation
Lera25 [3.4K]

The answer about Segregation is explained below.

Explanation:

When someone or something is set apart from another thing or person, it is called as Segregation. When things or people are separated from one another on the basis of any characteristic or criteria, this is called as segregation.

For example, in schools, when Boys and girls are arranged on their seats or line up in the assembly according to their gender. Also, girls are encouraged to take home economics, arts, etc, whereas boys are encouraged to take math, shop, science courses. This is called as segregation.

Also when students are separated on the basis of their intellect, this is also segregation. When people are separated on the basis of their social status, their income, their education, etc, these all are examples of segregation.
