Drupady [299]

Answer:

Fossil fuel deposits and the Earth’s oceans are two places in which carbon is stored

Explanation:

This is because the organisms that lived millions of years ago in the sea died off and their remains were compressed at the bottom of the ocean from carbon, thus creating the fossil fuels that we have today. This process took thousands of years.

How are major southern cities distinctive from northern cities in terms of economics?<br> welp...
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:The economies of major southern cities can be less generalized than those of cities in the northeast. Miami, for example, is a major port city but is also a major city in tourism and the cruise industry. Atlanta has become a center of finance and business.

Houston's location on the Gulf of Mexico allowed it's economy to gain strength from oil. Dallas grew as a result of the livestock business. New Orleans, ravaged recently by Hurricane Katrina, was a great cultural center and tourist destination. The city is struggling to repair itself.

In which aspects do the nanotechnology improves enhanced oil recovery(EOR)?
guapka [62]

Answer:

Nanotechnology helps to improve viscous fingering and the nano-particles can transmit through nanopores of sandstone which helps to increase the recovery by decreasing the surface tension between oil and water. The pore spaces are very fine so water molecules cannot penetrate through all of them in order to push the oil. This is why the nano-particles such as iron (Fe) and Silicon (Si) are used with distilled water. These particles can easily move through the interconnected pores and thereby pushes the oil to move out of it. It is a widely accepted concept in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).
