Hannah dipped her paintbrush into a new color and began painting a delicate vine of flowers on her canvas. Painting always helpe

d her think, and she needed to come up with an idea. Her sister Brianna had graduated from high school yesterday, and she wanted to do something special to show Brianna how proud she was of what she had accomplished. Yesterday, Hannah had told Brianna that she had a special surprise planned, but that was just to buy herself more time to come up with something.
Hannah sighed, her eyes falling on her sister's diploma, freshly hung on the wall of their shared bedroom in a plain wooden frame. She wanted to do something memorable for her sister. From the diploma in the plain frame, her eyes fell to her paintbrush. With a grin, Hannah realized she had the perfect idea for a surprise.

Sarah's parents gave her a goal to clean the bathroom twice a month until the end of the year. Which part of the SMART criteria
SpyIntel [72]
M- Measurable

This goal is Specific: it tells Sarah what to do and how often, Assignable: Sarah knows it's her own responsibility, Realistic: This is an activity Sarah is capable of completing, and Time Related: Sarah knows she needs to do this twice a month for a year. There are no guidelines though, for how the cleaning will be measured. The M part of a SMART goal would tell her how to know  when she has completely cleaned the bathroom to her parents' standards.

In 200 words, explain the difference in Jem's opinion of his father before and after the incident with the rabid dog.
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Prior to seeing their father's skill as a marksman, both Jem and Scout shared the perception that their father was older and couldn't do much of anything other than read and work.  Jem especially was flabbergasted at Atticus's ability to kill the rabid dog in one shot, even though it was "a little to the right. . . .Always was."   Miss Maudie, who addressed Atticus immediately after this episode as "One-Shot Finch" was delighted to tell Jem and Scout that "Atticus Finch was the deadest shot in Maycomb County in his time. . . .Guess you'll change your tune now."  Like many children, Scout and Jem had never really given much thought to what their father's life might have been before they entered it, and the idea that he might have been young once was probably something new to consider; additionally, Atticus had never spoken of his talent in this particular area.

MIRANDA: If by your art, my dearest father, you have
Sav [38]

Answer:

Shakespeare is using the monologue.

Explanation:

By reading the text above, we can see that Miranda is telling her father everything she thinks about what happened to the sinking ship and the people who were on it. She demonstrates all of her concern for this ship, what she would have liked to have happened and what she would do if she could avoid this tragedy. All of this is talked about in a long speech. In this way, we can see that Shakespeare made Miranda's speeches a monologue.

The monologue is a long and uninterrupted speech, where the character speaks everything she/he thinks and feels. At that moment, the character may be alone or not, the important thing is that she/he exposes her/his thoughts about something.

Mirando is a character in "The Tempest" a play written by Shakespeare, which tells the story of Pospero, former Duke of Milan, when he was with his daughter, Miranda, isolated on a desert island, planning revenge for those who usurped his real position.
