Around half of all vehicles on the roads currently run on diesel, but out of two thousand car drivers randomly questioned in car parks in cities across the country, 61% said they were opposed to the charge.

The poll was taken on people who drive cars. This makes them biased against measures that would charge them more to drive their cars.
