Answer:

option A

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{x^a}{x^b} = x^{a-b} , z^0 = 1

So,

\frac{18x^5 y}{6xy^8z^0} = \frac{18}{6} \times x^{5 -1} \times y^{1-8} = 3 x^4 \times y^{-7} = \frac{3x^4}{y^7}

help me with measurement please! if a square can become a rectangle can a rectangle become a square?
yawa3891 [41]
<span>Actually, every square is a rectangle, since the angles in a square are always right angles. That's more than saying that a square can be a rectangle; it is one.
</span><span>
And since squares are rectangles, you know that some rectangles are squares--namely, the squares are!
</span>
<span>We teach children "this is a rectangle, that is a square. The rectangle's sides are different lengths". But when you grow up, it's important to think of the square as a SPECIAL rectangle, because it is all that a rectangle is, and more.
</span>
A square is still a rectangle, but it's not just a rectangle, it's a (pedigreed) square.
In summary, yes a rectangle can be a square.

Hope this helped :)

Value of x? with work
valentinak56 [21]

Given:

The figure of a circle.

Measure of arc = 176°

Measure of angle = (27x+7)°

To find:

The value of x.

Solution:

We know that the measure of central angle is equal to measure corresponding intercepted arc and the measure of central angle is twice of the measure of subtended angle on that arc.

So, the measure of arc is twice of measure of subtended angle on that arc.

m(arc FH)=2\times m\angle FGH

176^\circ=2\times (27x+7)^\circ

\dfrac{176^\circ}{2}=(27x+7)^\circ

88^\circ=(27x+7)^\circ

Now,

88=27x+7

88-7=27x

\dfrac{81}{27}=x

3=x

Therefore, the value of x is 3.

3. A full-price ticket for a college basketball game costs $2.50, and a student ticket costs $1.75. If
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Let's say x = full price tickets

Let's say y = student tickets

We can write two equations:

From "585 tickets were sold" we can make the equation:

x + y = 585

And from "Full-price ticket is $2.50 and student ticket is $1.75 and total receipts is $1,217.25"...we can make the equation:

2.50x + 1.75y = 1,217.25

So now we can use substitution to find our answer...since we only have to find how many student tickets...we will solve the first equation for x so we can plug that into the 2nd equation to solve for y.

x + y = 585

x + y - y = 585 - y

x = 585 - y

Now we plug that into our 2nd equation: 2.50 (585 - y) + 1.75y = 1217.25

Distribute your 2.50

1462.5 - 2.50y + 1.75y = 1217.25

Add the y's: 1462.5 - 0.75y = 1217.25

Subtract 1462.5 from both sides:

1462.5 - 0.75y - 1462.5= 1217.25 - 1462.5

-0.75y = -245.25

Divide both sides by -0.75:

y = -245.25/-0.75

y = 327

        There were 327 student tickets :)
