The senior class took a vote to see where to go for a class trip. The choices were a theme park, a museum, a water park, or a ro

pes course. Once the voting was tabulated, the results were announced. Ten percent of the class voted to visit a museum, 14 percent voted to visit a ropes course, and 25 percent voted to go to a theme park. Fifty-one percent of the class wanted to go to a water park. The senior class is off to the water park!

A. The passage explains the detailed results of the voting, and the chart shows the voting results visually.

B. The passage and the chart must be used together to understand the voting results.

The answer is option A. I could understand the passage without the chart, so Option B is wrong. The passage has the voting results and the voting choices and so does the chart, so Option C is wrong. The chart and the passage have the same data, but it is displayed in different ways, so Option D is wrong.

The answer is A.
