To do this, we can figure out all the angles in the triangle. We know one angle: 45 degrees. To find the angle above that angle, we can use the 95 degrees and use linear angles to figure out that missing angle.

A linear pair adds up to 180 degrees, which means that 95 + (missing angle) = 180. 95 + <u>85</u> = 180. Therefore, we have two of the three angles in the triangle.

In a triangle, the number of angles adds up to 180 degrees, which means that 45 + 85 + (angle across from x) = 180. 45 + 85 + <u>50</u> = 180.

Now we have all the angles in the triangle.

With that information, we can use vertical angles to solve for x. If there are two lines that intersect, the angles opposite eachother are always equal. The angle opposite of x is 50; therefore x is equal to 50 degrees.

First you'll find the equation of the graphed line in slope-intercept form, y = mx+b, and then from there we'll convert it into standard form, ax+by = c.

To find the slope of the line you could either use the two points on the line or just look and see.

y = (-3/5)x+(3)

Remove the parentheses: y = -3/5x+3.

Now to convert from slope-intercept form into standard form, you will have to move everything to the left side and leave only b, or 3.

Add -3/5x to both sides.

3/5x+y = 3

You can't have a fraction in standard form, so multiply everything in the equation by 5.

3x+5y = 15
