An introduction needs to include a hook, and statement about what you are writing about. For example, you want to write about how you once forgot to do your homework and the consequences for it. You start off by writing a hook, for example;

Today was not the best day ever.

Then you move onto the statement;

I forgot to do my homework. This is the story.

And then you go onto reading about the story.
