Anvisha [2.4K]
If you are going from a high gradient to a low gradient it’s passive transport. Think of a hill if you put a rock at the top of that hill it will go down no energy involved. What is cartilage composed of?
Airida [17]

Answer: Chondroitin and collagen fibers

Explanation:

Cartilage is made of the specialized cells which is known as chndrocytes. These chondrocytes produce large amount of extracellular matrix which is composed of collagen fibers, elastin fibers and proteoglycan.

There are no blood vessels in the cartilage to supply nutrients to the chrondrocytes.

The cartilage is flexible and provides strength to the long bones. It is rubber like padding that covers the end of the bones.

It is found in rib cage, nose, ear, bronchial tubes et cetera.
