According to this text what was galileo accused of doing wrong and what was his punishment
abruzzese [7]
Because I'm not sure what text you're referring to, I can only talk on what I know about Galileo. Because he created the telescope and was able to provide more legitimate evidence to support Copernicus' Heliocentric Theory, he began proving that some of the Church's teachings were not correct. This was deemed heresy (to go against the belief and teachings of those around you in a way that seems like betrayal rather than freedom of thought)

Which of the following explains why Shi Huangdi ordered the construction of a massive road system built throughout ancient China
swat32

Answer:

The correct answer is - it provided a way for his armies, as well as merchants and diplomats, to travel efficiently and quickly from the capital.

Explanation:

Shi Huangdi wanted his country to be well connected in order of it to function more properly, everything to be done quicker and more efficiently. He decided that a massive road system should be built in ancient China in order for the people, goods, ideas, technology, military can move freely and much quickly.

In his mind, and he was not wrong, this road system would have improved China's economy and development and it actually did. The road network was connecting the capital to any other important place in the country, while the smaller places were connected with the more important regional centers. This led to quicker movement of the people, goods, the trade increased and was much quicker, the diplomats were able to move more quickly, and so did the merchants.
