Answer:

The correct answer is 2. An example of judicial review is "The Supreme Court declared part of the  Judiciary Act of 1789 unconstitutional."

Explanation:

Judicial review is a process under which administrative and legislative actions are subject to review by the judiciary. A court with judicial review power can override laws and decisions that are incompatible with a higher authority; An executive decision can be invalidated because it is illegal or a law can be invalidated by violating the terms of a written constitution. Judicial review is one of the checks and balances in the separation of powers: the power of the judiciary to supervise the legislative and executive branches when they exceed their authority.

Judicial review was created by the ruling in Marbury v. Madison, which granted the power of judicial review to the Supreme Court.

what can be assumed by the 26 volume leather bound petition presented to Stowe which begged American women to abolish slavery
Sedaia [141]
I would say it's safe to assume that Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel, "Uncle Tom's Cabin," was hugely popular with abolitionists around the world.  The book was the 2nd-best selling book of the 19th century -- coming in behind only the Bible (the perennial bestseller).

The 26 leather bound volumes contained signatures from British women from all across the globe who implored their sisters in America to keep up the fight to free the slaves.  The impact of Stowe's book shows that what can be done fighting with the pen is just as mighty as what might be done with a sword!
