When x = 1
5(1) = -y + 6
5 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 5 = 1

When x = 2
5(2) = -y + 6
10 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 10 = -4

When x = 3
5(3) = -y + 6
15 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 15 = -9

Test 1 in for x

5(1)= -y +6
5= -y+6
Subtract 6 from both sides

-1 = -y

Divide by -1 to get 1=y

x=2
5(2)= -y +6
10= -y+6

Subtract 6 from both sides
4= -y

Divide by -1

-4=y
---------------------------
X=3
5(3)= -y +6
15= -y +6

Subtract 6 from both sides
9= -y

Divide by -1
-9 = y

PLZ HELP I NEED THIS TODAY!!!!Write an expression for the perimeter of the triangle shown below: A triangle is shown with side l
qaws [65]
All you have to do is combine like terms here...all the x's and then all the constants.  2.3x + 2x -.2x = 4.1x; 14 + 15 = 29, so the perimeter is 4.1x + 29,  A above.

Describe the pattern that you see in the table for the right column. Please help me describe it in complete sentences. Extra poi
Gwar [14]

The pattern on the table is x increases:

  • The sine of x increases
  • The cosine of x increases
  • The function sin²(x) + cos²(x) remains constant

<h3>How to describe the pattern?</h3>

The functions on the table of values are:

sin(x), cos(x) and sin²(x) + cos²(x)

To describe the pattern, we simply observe how the values of the function change, as x increases.

As x increases, on the table:

  • The sine of x increases
  • The cosine of x increases
  • The function sin²(x) + cos²(x) remains constant

Help me class8 (surds)
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

  • \cfrac{991\sqrt{2} }{80}

Step-by-step explanation:

For a start simplify each of the roots:

  • \sqrt{72} =\sqrt{36*2} =6\sqrt{2}
  • \sqrt{50} =\sqrt{25*2} =5\sqrt{2}
  • \sqrt{128} =\sqrt{64*2} =8\sqrt{2}
  • \sqrt{98} =\sqrt{49*2} =7\sqrt{2}

Now simplify the expression in steps:

\sqrt{72}-\cfrac{48}{\sqrt{50} }  -\cfrac{45}{\sqrt{128} }  +2\sqrt{98} =

6\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{48}{5\sqrt{2} }  -\cfrac{45}{8\sqrt{2} }  +2*7\sqrt{2} =

6\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{48*8+45*5}{5*8\sqrt{2} }  +14\sqrt{2} =

20\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{609}{40\sqrt{2} } =

20\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{609*\sqrt{2} }{40\sqrt{2} *\sqrt{2} } =

20\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{609\sqrt{2} }{40*2 } =

20\sqrt{2}-\cfrac{609\sqrt{2} }{80 } =

\sqrt{2} (20-7\cfrac{49}{80} )=

\sqrt{2} *12\cfrac{31}{80} =

\cfrac{991\sqrt{2} }{80}
