The rapid westward migration caused by the discovery of gold in california in 1848 led directly to:
Kay [80]
This discovery of gold lead directly to the California Gold Rush.

Thanks to the discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill by James Marshall, California became flooded with individuals looking to make it rich by finding gold. Roughly 300,000 citizens from across the country came to settle in California. This greatly increased the size of California's population, eventually allowing it to join the US as a state rather than a territory.

How do Christians view the death of Jesus?
Kazeer [188]

Answer: Christians believe Jesus was spat on, cut, humiliated, kicked, striped and finally hung up on the cross to endure a slow and painful death. According, to Christian belief, the original sin of Adam and Eve of eating from the forbidden tree was so great that God could not forgive it by simply willing it, rather it was necessary to erase it with the blood of a sinless, innocent Jesus.

Respond to the following question in three to four sentences.
inn [45]

Hi, First, Let me explain line by line,

1} What allowed President Lincoln to issue the Emancipation Proclamation?

Ans:- Abraham Lincoln was forced to issue the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862 as a response to the heavy losses inflicted at the Battle of Antietam.

2} Did it end slavery in the United States? Why or why not?

Ans:- Yes. After the Union victory on May 1865. When the Thirteenth Amendment, December 1865 was issued, slavery was ended in the United States. But unfortunately, even till today, some people are hiring slaves without the knowledge of other people and the government.

3} How did the Proclamation impact the Civil War?

Ans:- Yes, absolutely. In the year January 1, 1863, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. It also changed the aim of the war from preserving the Union to a fight for freedom of human rights.

With this proclamation, he tried to free all slaves in the Southern areas. But, sadly, the Emancipation Proclamation did not include slaves in the parts of the Confederacy under the high control of the Union.

I hope this will be a good opinion from my side.

What were three of the major challenges that the constitutional convention delegates faced, and how was each resolved
melisa1 [442]

Here are three major challenges faced by the delegates at the constitutional convention:

1) Representation in Congress- States with larger population wanted more representatives in Congress based on their population. States with smaller populations wanted each state to have the same amount of representatives. Ultimately, the Great Compromise would solve this problem by creating the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House of Representatives would have representation based on a states population whilte the Senate would have 2 Senators from each state, regardless of population.

2) Slavery and population numbers- Some states wanted slaves to count towards the population while other states did not. This resulted in the development of the 3/5ths Compromise, in which every 5 slaves would count as 3 people towards population.

3) Rights of citizens- Many Anti federalists were worried that the new federal government would severely limit the rights of citizens. This is why a Bill of Rights was created, to outline what rights American citizens were entitled to.
