Old Major uses a dream to give the animals a glimpse of what this world, free of men, could be like. In it, animals do not live short and miserable lives ever again because there are no men with them.

The source of all their problems is the human being. Some of the ways in which life would be better for the animals are the following: everyone could live in a state of equality – as they all would be just animals; they would not be forced to work long hours; no one would be slaughtered; and they would know the meaning of happiness and leisure – which they did not know after they were one year old, as Old Major says in the text.

How does paragraph 1 contribute to the development of the plot. WILL CHOOSE BRAINLIEST.
bonufazy [111]

Answer:

It presents background information needed to understand the text.

Explanation:

In the given story about how the narrator Noah was made to write a B & B letter by his mother to his grandparents. This led to the conflict of interest between the two as regards the issue of writing such a letter which he is not familiar with.

The first paragraph of the text reveals the background of how the letter came to be the main issue between the mother and her son. It presents the background information that reveals the main conflict between the two, without which we the readers, will be unable to understand the whole story.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.

Based on the facts presented in The Riddle of the Rosetta Stone: I've Got It! I've Got It! (part one), what is the most logical
andre [41]

Hello. You forgot to enter the answer options. The options are:

Progress continued to be made in the years that followed.

Progress was blocked in the years that followed.

The findings were dismissed and research began again.

The findings were published and the research was ended.

Answer:

Progress continued to be made in the years that followed.

Explanation:

As we look at the facts presented in "The Riddle of the Rosetta Stone: I've Got It! I've Got It!" we can see that the interpretation of the hieroglyphics on the rosette stone was not something achieved overnight, but it was a long, slow process, the result of much study, research and perseverance, which progressed more and more as time passed. As the years passed, the more elements that facilitated the interpretation of the hieroglyphs were discovered. For this reason, we can say that the correct answer to your question is "Progress continued to be made in the years that followed."
