Old Major uses a dream to give the animals a glimpse of what this world, free of men, could be like. In it, animals do not live short and miserable lives ever again because there are no men with them.

The source of all their problems is the human being. Some of the ways in which life would be better for the animals are the following: everyone could live in a state of equality – as they all would be just animals; they would not be forced to work long hours; no one would be slaughtered; and they would know the meaning of happiness and leisure – which they did not know after they were one year old, as Old Major says in the text.

gladu [14]

Answer:

He teaches them, though each can be overcome alone, they are invincible combined.

Explanation:

Having bound a bundle of sticks together (or in other accounts either spears or arrows), he asks his sons to break them. When they fail, he undoes the bundle and either breaks each stick singly or gets his sons to do so. In the same way he teaches them, though each can be overcome alone, they are invincible combined.

Hope this helps!

Read the excerpt from Act III of The Importance of Being Earnest.
Crank

Answer:

B.

Explanation:

This illustrates a strict adherence to social rules. "(...)that was the way in which you wasted your time and money".

Option A doesen't have anything to do with manners.

Option C is formed by "being a gentleman". Depending the social context and it's rules, you could easily be a "gentleman" and be baptised. This is not the case.

Option D: In this excerpt there isn't a value of education over religion.
