Sedimentary rocks are widespread. They include the Old Red Sandstones from the Devonian period. These are common in the 'ridge and valley' landscape that runs across much of south-west Ireland. Limestone also covers much of the country most notably in the midlands and in areas such as the Burren in Co.:)
A cataract is an area of a river where the elevation of the streambed changes too quickly or has to many boulders meaning people couldn't use part of the river as transportation.
This was a good thing because the cataracts effectively served as barriers so they could control travel. This meant that the Pharos found it impossible to control the land south of the first cataract. This ending up becoming the southern border of Ancient Egypt.

Personally I would say it's A (apart from the installation costs which may make it a little expensive) but it does involve certain aspects of D also as wind energy doesn't cause pollution. So either A or D!
