To do these types of problems fast, I highly recommend you learn synthetic division-it helped me so much in Algebra II class.
It is kind of hard to explain on here, so I recommend searching synthetic division on you tube.
Anyway, by doing that you get (x-5) as a zero and are left with 6x^2 -x -1, which you can plug in the quadratic formula, and you get x= -1/3 and x=1/2

Hope, this tip helps you get started, but if not another tip would be (although it takes much more time) to just start dividing the polynomial by numbers like: x= (+/-) 6,1,2,3,5 because these numbers are factors of 5 or 6.

A circle has an initial radius of 50 ft when the radius begins decreasing at the rate of 5 5 ft/min. What is the rate in the ch
gavmur [86]

Answer:

  -816.8 ft²/min

Step-by-step explanation:

The rate of change of area is the product of the rate of change of radius and the circumference of the circle. At the time of interest, ...

  dA/dt = C·dr/dt = 2πr·dr/dt

  dA/dt = 2π·(26 ft)(-5 ft/min)

  dA/dt = -260π ft²/min ≈ -816.8 ft²/min

What is not a pair of equivalent fractions for 5/8 and 1/2
n200080 [17]
Two fractions equivalent to each: Just divide or multiply both top AND bottom by the same number.<span>
5/6: 10/12 OR 15/18
15/30: 5/10 OR 1/2
45/60: 8/12 OR 4/6

Rewrite each pair or fractions with common denominator: Find the difference between the two bottom numbers, and multiply top and bottom number.

5/8 and 3/4: 4X2=8, 3X2=6. So, 5/8 and 6/8.
2/5 and 1/2: 2/5 and 2.5/5
9/9 and 5/7: 9/9 and ~5.7/9

Rewrite each in simple form: Find greatest common factor and divide.

9/54: 1/6
20/40: 1/2
100/110: 10/11

Are these fractions equivalent?
No. 5/1 and 5/5 are, because they are both 5 wholes. 1/5 is not because it is a fifth of a whole.

In what situation can you use multiplication to find equivalent fractions?
I'm sorry but I do not understand this question.

Lilit [14]
When they leave home, odometer reads 12,544.....when they arrive in Winterton, the odometer reads 12,671.....this means they have already driven (12,671 - 12,544) = 127 miles.....and now they have 48 more miles to go......so the trip to Sandy Shores from Summerville is (127 + 48) = 175 miles
