Calcium has a number of 20 protons, electrons, and neutrons. Since it looks like the atoms has a charge to it so it has not gained or lost electrons the number of electrons hasn’t changed. Also the atomic number of the element (or the number 20) determines how many protons, neutrons, and electrons in an element without a charge.
