Who symbolizes the Mother Country?
Andrej [43]

Answer:

The 'mother country' to Brewster and Robinson was, of course, England and that was generally what was meant when the phrase came into use in the USA. They didn't coin the phrase themselves but probably read it in the works of a prominent Puritan of the day - Arthur Golding.

nikdorinn [45]
<span>The legacy of European colonialism influenced the language and religion in Africa. In the nineteenth century, Europe expanded in Africa to expand in search of raw materials and markets. In this period many Africans were converted to Christianity as part of a colonial influence on religion. Several branches of Christianity and Catholicism grew. The first African churches experienced significant growth in the 20th and 21st centuries. The language in Africa is quite extensive with official languages and unofficial languages. Why did some americans not support the revolution?
Sever21 [200]

Some thought war was too drastic. They thought "wait a second, let's not do something crazy here. Let's just try to work with Britain to get our rights back, instead of overthrowing the whole thing and establishing our own thing. That's just too much." Some thought that we would lose the revolution (which, in all honesty, they had good reason to think that) and didn't want to upset Britain.
