Answer:

Your answer is 50%

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have to find the total marbles. 4+2+6 = 12

After we get the total marbles we just have to divide the red marbles by the total marbles. 6/12

That comes out to be 1/2 or .5 or 50%

Please help me with this math problem
Sergio [31]

Answer:

The table is a quadratic function

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The attached table

Required

Tell if it is a quadratic function

The difference in the x values are uniform (i.e. difference of 1), so the following method can be applied.

(1) Subtract adjacent y values.

d_1=2 - 16 = -14

d_2=-2 - 2 = -4

d_3 = 4--2 = 6

d_4 = 20 - 4 = 16

(2) Subtract adjacent differences in (1) above

d_5 = d_2 - d_1 = -4 --14 = 10

d_6 = d_3 - d_2 = 6 --4 = 10

d_7 = d_4 - d_3 = 16 -6 = 10

Notice the calculated differences in (2) are the same.

<em>Hence, the table is a quadratic function</em>

A container has 130 gallons of water and is being filled at a rate of 1/4 gallon each second. Another container has 200 gallons
jasenka [17]

Answer:

120 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question you have to make equation of both gallon.

Gallon 1 have 130 gallons of water at the start and filled by 1/4 gallon each second. If x equal to the time in seconds, the equation of gallon 1 volume will be:

g1= 130+ 1/4x

Gallon 1 have 200 gallons of water at the start and drained by 1/ 3  gallon each second,  the equation of gallon 2 volume  :

g2= 200- 1/3x

When gallon 1 volume equal to gallon 2, it mean g1=g2

g1= g2

130+ 1/4x  =  200- 1/3x

130- 200= -1/3x -1/4x

-70= - 4/12x - 3/12x

-7/12x= -70

7/12x= 70

x= 70*12/7

x= 120
