Yes, I have. It has happened several times. When I realized I would not be able to come up with anything clever to say, I ended up frustrated and annoyed at myself. Impressive statements normally come naturally, when we feel comfortable with the situation and the topic. If we feel the need to impress, that already makes the context more difficult and uncomfortable, reducing our chances to come up with something good.
