Answer: B) Mutually exclusive

=====================================================

Work Shown:

P(A and B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A or B)

P(A and B) = 1/5 + 7/20 - 11/20

P(A and B) = 4/20 + 7/20 - 11/20

P(A and B) = (4+7-11)/20

P(A and B) = 0/20

P(A and B) = 0

Events A and B are mutually exclusive because the probability of both events happening simultaneously is 0. One event or the other must happen, but both can't happen at the same time.

Here's a visual way to think about it: draw a rectangle, and then split the rectangle into two smaller parts. The two smaller parts don't have to be equal in area, size, or shape. Label the two smaller parts A and B. If you throw a dart at the rectangle, you'll land somewhere in region A, or region B, but not both regions at the same time. This is a demonstration of what it means to be mutually exclusive. Regions A and B do not overlap in any way.

Answer:This is mutually exclusive

P(A) = 1/5

P(B) = 7/20

The formula is P= P(A)+P(B)

P = 1/5+7/20= 11/20

Y ≥ 12x – 1
y < 43x – 2
kondaur [170]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The solution to this problem is a graph.

Graph y ≥ 12x - 1: this is a straight solid line with slope 12 and y-intercept -1. Due to the presence of the ≥ operator, we must shade (darken) the entire area above this line.

Next, graph y < 43x – 2 using a dashed line (due to the < operator): The slope is 43 and the y-intercept is -2.

Determine where the two lines intersect, either from the graph or algebraically. If algebraically:

equate the two givens:

y = 12x - 1 = y = 43x – 2, which simplifies first to:

12x - 1 = 43x - 2, and second to

1 = 43x - 12x = 31x, which results in x = 1/31.

Substituting 1/31 for x in the first equation, we get:

y = 12(1/31) - 1, or y = 12/31 - 1, or y = 12/31 - 31/31, or y = 19/31

The two graphs intersect at (1/31, 19/31)

Shade (darken) the area beneath (under) the dashed line y < 43x – 2.

The solution is the area that you have darkened twice.

HELP PLEASE! BRAINLIEST
V125BC [204]
Since AED forms a straight line, all involved angles sum to 180°. Therefore AEB + BED = 180. Also, since EC bisects BED, BEC = CED, and BED = 2× CED. Now to substitute the first equation:
AEB + BED = 180
AEB + 2×CED = 180
11x-12 + 2(4x+1) = 180
11x-12+8x+2 = 180
19x-10 = 180
19x-10+10 = 180+10
19x = 190
x = 10
So what is m<AEC?? It is the sum of AEB + BEC, and since BEC = CED we can say that:
AEC = AEB + CED
AEC = 11x-12 + 4x+1 = 15x-11 = 15(10)-11 = 150-11
m<AEC = 139°

REY [17]

Answer:

42.5 if rounding 43 for B

Step-by-step explanation:

P is the variable so put 100 under it

Then on the first empty fraction put 17/40

Cross multiply

You will get 40p=17x100

So then you multiply 17 by 100

1700

divided both sides by 40

Get the variable alone

Divide 1700 by 40

get 42.5

If your teacher is as annoying as mine round to 43
