  • The Homestead Strike was used to describe the violent labor dispute that happened in Homestead, Pennsylvania between the workers of Carnegie Steel Company and the employer.

  • The violent dispute between the parties happened from 30 Jun 1892 to 6 Jul 1892.

  • The incident started when the workers struck the Company to protest a proposed wage cut

  • During the period, the worker were under the Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers,

6) Cats and terriers were kept by soldiers in the front line trenches to help free them of disease-carrying rats. The terriers were actually very effective in killing rats.

7)Flies were common in trenches along with trench foot which was caused because of muddy soil.
