Answer: Option 'C' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Let the principal amount be 'x'.

First rate of interest = 2%

Second rate of interest = 4%

Number of years = 1

Amount of interest he earned = $92

According to question,

\dfrac{x\times 2}{100}+\dfrac{(x+800)\times 4}{100}=92\\\\\dfrac{2}{100}(x+2(x+800))=92\\\\x+2x+1600=\dfrac{92\times 100}{2}\\\\3x+1600=4600\\\\3x=4600-1600\\\\3x=3000\\\\x=\dfrac{3000}{x}\\\\x=\$1000

So, First investment of $1000 at 2% and Second investment of $1000+$800=$1800 at 4%.

Hence, Option 'C' is correct.

X the first account  interest = x/100*2 = 2x/100
(x + 800)/100 * 4 =( 4x + 3200)/100
2x/100 + (4x + 3200)/100 = 92
2x + 4x + 3200 = 9200
6x = 6000
x = 1000

Write 15/4 as a mixed number
vazorg [7]
This can be done by actually solving the operation 15/4:
15/4 = <u><em>3 3/4</em></u>
If you were to actually put in fifteen divided by four into a calculator, it would probably give you 3.75, which is equivalent to 3 3/4.
Hope this helps!

What is the answer to this following equation (2•5)-56+102(4•215)
Hoochie [10]

Answer:

87674

Step-by-step explanation:

Order of Operations (PEMDAS)

(2×5)-56+102(4×215)

Do parentheses

(10)-56+102(860)

multiply

10-56+87,720

Use the fundamental identities and appropriate algebraic operations to simplify the following expression. (18 +tan x) (18-tan x)
andrezito [222]

Answer:

a) \left(18+\tan \left(x\right)\right)\left(18-\tan \left(x\right)\right)+\sec ^2\left(x\right)=325

b) The lowest point of y=\cos \left(x\right), 0\leq x\leq 2\pi is when x = \pi

Step-by-step explanation:

a) To simplify the expression \left(18+\tan \left(x\right)\right)\left(18-\tan \left(x\right)\right)+\sec ^2\left(x\right) you must:

Apply Difference of Two Squares Formula: \left(a+b\right)\left(a-b\right)=a^2-b^2

a=18,\:b=\tan \left(x\right)

\left(18+\tan \left(x\right)\right)\left(18-\tan \left(x\right)\right)=18^2-\tan ^2\left(x\right)=324-\tan ^2\left(x\right)

324-\tan ^2\left(x\right)+\sec ^2\left(x\right)

Apply the Pythagorean Identity 1+\tan ^2\left(x\right)=\sec ^2\left(x\right)

From the Pythagorean Identity, we know that 1=-\tan ^2\left(x\right)+\sec ^2\left(x\right)

Therefore,

324[-\tan ^2\left(x\right)+\sec ^2\left(x\right))]\\324[+1]\\325

b) According with the below graph, the lowest point of y=\cos \left(x\right), 0\leq x\leq 2\pi is when x = \pi
