The no. of apples on the tree today

= The no. of apples on the tree yesterday - 5

Let us take 'the no. of apples on the tree today' as 'x'

and 'the no. of apples on the tree today' as 'y'

Therefore, x = y - 5

Hope this is the thing u are looking for

4n-3=-2n+9 What is the value of the variable 'n'?
julsineya [31]
4n - 3= -2n + 9
add 3n to both sides

4n= -2n +12
add 2n to both sides

6n= 12
divide both sides by 6

n= 2

Check:
4n-3=-2n+9
4(2)-3= -2(2)+9
8-3= -4+9
5=5

Hope this helps! :)

Find the difference: square root of 20 - square root of 80
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

-2\sqrt{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt{20} = \sqrt{10*2} = \sqrt{5 * 2 *2} = \sqrt{2^2 * 5} = 2\sqrt{5}   \\\\\sqrt{80} = \sqrt{20*4} = \sqrt{5*4 *4} = \sqrt{4^2 * 5} = 4\sqrt{5}   \\\\2\sqrt{5} - 4\sqrt{5} = -2\sqrt{5}
