Answer: 5 feet= __5/3 0r 1 2/3____ yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 11 yard = 3 feet

3 feet = 1 yard

5 feet = 5feet  x 1 yard/ 3feet

= 5/3yards  

Step 2  To convert 5/3 yards   to a mixed fraction,

1. We first Divide the numerator, 5  by the denominator, 3 giving us  a whole number and a remainder

5/3 = 1 remainder 2

2.then we write the whole number and put the remainder 2 above the denominator 3 giving us

5/3 = 1 2/3

such that when you multiply the mixed fraction 3 x 1  and add 2 it gives back the improper fraction of 5/3
