The depenadant variable would be the thickness of fur on the rabbits.

A dependant vaiable is the vaiable measured or tested in an experiement. It depends on the hormones given to possibly change the fur thickeness. So the hormone would be an example of an indepenedant variable, making the fur thickess a dependent variable.
