Then, English poets adopted them and became very popular in the 19th century in English literature. They talked about common topics, about culture, or in other words. Day to day life events and stories or common people. Because aristocrats and nobility didn't practice to dance melodies accompanied by ballads, they preferred other types of music like the waltz.

The main difference between the three is the length of them. Sonnets are limited to 14 lines and has around 10 syllables per line. Limericks are more humorous and only have 5 lines, I would think the answer is ballad.
