Answer:

More food is available for predators.

Explanation:

If biologists kept introducing hares into the environment to keep the hare population at a high and constant level so there is more availability of food for the predator and so the population of predator increases. If there is no predator for the hare so it will increase in number and eliminate all the vegetation of the environment while on the other hand, if the biologists kept only the lynx population at a high and constant level so it decreases the population of hares because lynx feeds on hare.

How does independent assortment affect genetic diversity?
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

Meiosis and Genetic Variation. ... When cells divide during meiosis, homologous chromosomes are randomly distributed during anaphase I, separating and segregating independently of each other. This is called independent assortment. It results in gametes that have unique combinations of chromosomes.

frozen elephant trunk for aortic arch reconstruction is associated with reduced mortality as compared to conventional techniques
wariber [46]

To compare the perioperative results of frozen elephant trunk (FET) vs. traditional elephant trunk (ET) procedures for aortic arch repair. 390 individuals had aortic repair with elephant trunk reconstruction between 2002 and 2018 at 9 facilities: Aortic dissection affected 37% of patients who received a FET (mean age: 65+/-13 years, 30% female), while 43% of patients who received an ET (mean age: 63+/-13 years, 37% female) experienced aortic dissection. In-hospital mortality, stroke, and spinal cord injury were among the outcomes of interest (SCI).

What is Aortic arch ?

The top portion of the principal artery sending blood away from the heart is known as the aortic arch. A combination of symptoms and signs known as aortic arch syndrome are linked to anatomical issues in the arteries that branch off the aortic arch. The valves, chambers, and accompanying vessels that make up the heart's interior.

What is conventional techniques ?

Conventional methods assess the long-term heat stability of polymer products at temperatures below their melting points, for instance, through accelerated aging in "circulating air ovens" until degradation effects like discolouration and embrittlement become apparent.

Answer:

Mendel's law of independent assortment

Explanation:

Gregor Mendel is a really important figure in genetics, his work on pea plants provided us with many of the fundamentals of genetics that we still have today!

Mendel proposed 3 laws:

1. The law of dominance - this law states that where there are two different alleles (heterozygous) the organism will always express the dominant trait over the recessive trait

2. The law of segregation - this law states that offspring will inherit one allele from each parent, because allele pairs separate in the process of meiosis, such that each gamete contains 1 allele of each trait. When the zygote is formed, it contains an allele from each parent.

3. The law of independent assortment - this law states that traits are independent from one another at the time of gamete formation. The genes are segregated separately from one another, as the presence of one does not impact the presence of another.

This example shows that all combinations of the height and color allele are possible, and therefore nicely demonstrates the law of independent assortment
