Which types of plant cells must receive glucose from other plant cells?

Answer:

While plant cells have chloroplasts to photosynthesize, they also require ATP for cellular functions, and do use oxygen to break down some of the sugar they produce in order to generate that ATP. They need mitochondria for this.

In particular, at night when there is no light, plants undergo cellular respiration since there is no sunlight to photosynthesize.

They do, however, produce far more sugar and oxygen through photosynthesis than they use up in respiration.

100 POINTS
docker41 [41]

Answer/Explanation:

Green plants can synthesise their own food by using light energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose, with the release of oxygen. This process is called photosynthesis, and it occurs in specialized organelles called chloroplasts.  The first stages of photosynthesis require light energy, and are often called the light-dependent reactions. The next stages occur in the absence of light energy, called the light-independent reactions.

In the light-dependent reactions, chlorophyll in the chloroplasts absorb light, converting into stored chemical energy in the form of NADPH and ATP. The high energy electron produced by light absorption travels down an electron transport chain, driving the pumping of hydrogen ions and creating a gradient. This provides the energy to produce ATP by ATP synthase

This process is used to provide for the light-independent reactions to  form carbohydrates from carbon dioxide during a process called the Calvin cycle. The carbohydrates produced during photosynthesis are broken down during cellular respiration to generate ATP.

ATP usually releases energy by breaking down the weak phosphate cell present.  The energy released due to the breaking down of the phosphate cell is then utilized. The ATP is converted to ADP. Whenever a cell feels the necessity for energy it releases a phosphate to gather the energy. It is an automatic and ongoing process. The weak bond between the second and the third phosphate is always targeted for turning ATP to ADP. This is the reason ATP is considered the main energy currency for the cell.<span>

The formation of a cell plate is beginning across the middle of a cell and nuclei are re-forming at opposite ends of the cell. W
Kay [80]

Answer:

a. a plant cell undergoing cytokinesis

Explanation:

Cytokinesis is the process where the cytoplasm divides after mitosis to form two different daughter cells from the parent cell. Animal cell divides by just a cleavage formation. Plant cells have an additional step of formation of cell plate because they have cell wall.

At the end of anaphase and beginning of telophase when the two new daughter nuclei have just formed, cell plat formation begins. Secretory vesicles from golgi body come at equator of the dividing parent cell. These vesicles release all the materials required for cell wall formation. The materials start to form the cell plate which moves outwards till it reaches the division site of parent cell wall. Slowly cell wall arises from cell plate and cytokinesis occurs giving rise to new plant cells.

Name the process by which the water balance in the body is maintained
xxTIMURxx [149]
The blood is filtered at a high pressure and the kidney selectively reabsorbs any useful materials such as glucose, mineral ions and water. After it has been purified, the blood returns to the circulatory system through the renal vein. The kidneys produce urine and this helps maintain water balance.
