✰ \underline{ \underline{ \large{ \tt{ \:T \:O \:  \: F \: I \: N \: D}}} }:

  • Value of y

✰ \underline{ \underline{ \large{ \tt{S \: O \: L \: U \: T \: I \: O\: N}}}} :

Basically there are two ways to find out the value of y. I'm gonna show you the both ways.

First one :

  • Find out the value of x first :

\large{ \tt{x + 25  \degree + 35 \degree = 180  \degree}} \text{(Sum \: of \: angles \: of \: a \: triangle)}

⇾ \large{ \tt{x + 60 \degree = 180 \degree}}

⇾ \large{ \tt{x = 180 \degree - 60 \degree}}

⇾ \large{ \tt{x = 120 \degree}}

  • Now ,Find out the value of y

\large{ \tt{x + y = 180 \degree}} \text{(Sum \: of \: angle \: in \: a \: straight \: line})

⤑ \large{ \tt{120 \degree + y = 180 \degree}}

⤑ \large{ \tt{y = 180 \degree - 120 \degree}}

⤑ \boxed{ \large{ \tt{y = 60 \degree}}}

Another way :

\large{ \tt{y = 35 \degree + 25 \degree}} ( Exterior angle is equal to the sum of two non - adjacent interior angles )

↦ \boxed{ \large{ \tt{y = 60 \degree}}}

➝ \large{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \tt{Our \: Final \: Answer :   \underline{y = 60 \degree}}}}}

Over the last 3  evenings, Keisha received a total of 81  phone calls at the call center. The first evening, she received 6  few
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

First: 15

Second: 21

Third: 45

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to create the equation we need to represent the evenings with an alebraic term, in thsi case we are going to represent the second evening with an X

Second evening:x

The first night she got 6 fewer calls than the second: Second-6=x-6

The third night she received 3 times the first: 3(first night)=3(x-6)

The equation is First Night plus second night plus third night equals 81.

First+second+third=81\\x+(x-7)+3(x-6)=81\\x+x-7+3x-18=81\\5x=81+21+6\\5x=105\\x=\frac{105}{5} \\x=21

So the first evening he received 15 calls, the second he received 21 and the third one he received 45.

Find the indicated side length.
Schach [20]

Answer: KL = 5.3

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Set up the proportion, cross multiply, and solve for the missing side:

\frac{JL}{GL} = \frac{KL}{HL}

\frac{4}{10} = \frac{KL}{8 + KL}

 4(8 + KL) = 10(KL)

32 + 4KL = 10KL

32           = 6KL

\frac{32}{6}=KL

 KL = 16/3 = 5.3
