Answer:

The water-soluble vitamins include the B vitamins and Vitamin C.

Explanation:

Essential vitamins are usually classified into fat-soluble vitamins and water-soluble vitamins. The water-soluble vitamins are not stored in the body and excess is excreted when the body has taken the amount it requires. As a result of this, the body needs a continuous intake of these vitamins, daily, either through food sources such as fruits and grains, or supplements.

The water-soluble vitamins include;

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

Vitamin B2(Riboflavin)

Vitamin B3(Niacin)

Vitamin B6(Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B12

Folic acid and

Panthothenic acid.

Vitamin C functions as an antioxidant which helps keep the cells healthy and boosts the immune system. It also plays a role in the formation of connective tissues of the bone, skin, gums and blood vessels.

The B vitamins play major roles in the body's metabolic processes and energy production and also in the formation of red blood cells.
