Explanation:

The theory of plate tectonics states that the Earth's solid outer crust, the lithosphere, is separated into plates that move over the asthenosphere, the molten upper portion of the mantle. Oceanic and continental plates come together, spread apart, and interact at boundaries all over the planet

Answer:

Over time, Earth's plate tectonics have slowly moved apart from each other over the past millions of years. It has now created seven continents instead of one single continent which was called Pangea. We no have mountain ranges, island chains, rift valleys, volcanoes, and mid-ocean ridges. There is three type of lithospheric plates that cause these things to happen on Earth's surface, they are called: divergent boundaries, transform boundaries, and convergent boundaries. Divergent boundary occurs when plates move apart from one another, it can occur in oceans and land and can form mid-ocean ridges and rift valleys. Convergent boundary occurs where two plates move toward each other, it creates (oceanic-oceanic) island chains, (oceanic-continental) creates volcanoes, and (continental-continental) creates mountains. Transform boundary occurs where plates slip past each other in opposite directions, crust is neither created nor destroyed and is responsible for earthquakes along transform boundaries.

hope this helps :) have a nice day

What type of graph curb symbolizes exponential growth?
Amanda [17]
An exponential growth graph looks pretty much like the right side of a parabola. The graph equation is f(x)= C ·a^x, so you can also plug in x values to find the y value. It's not a linear line, but it curves upwards starting from (0,0).

Compare surface, subsurface, and placer mining in terms of damage to the environment.
vfiekz [6]
Surface mining, which is also known as strip mining, is when soil and rock overlaying mineral deposit is removed. It can cause habitat destruction, air pollution from dust particles, soil erosion and pollution. Subsurface mining is removing deposits from the Earth by drilling underneath layers of rock and dirt. To keep the pathways clear, <span>mining companies have to pump out large amounts of water, which go into surface ecosystems. That disrupts the ecosystem by changing the pH conditions of soil and water sources. Placer mining is mining of stream bed deposits for minerals, a way of obtaining minerals and metal resources. Although, because it is small, causes less damage to the surrounding environment it still can disrupt river ecosystems with pollution and sediments.
