Answer:

Cancer is unchecked cell growth. Mutations in genes can cause cancer by accelerating cell division rates or inhibiting normal controls on the system, such as cell cycle arrest or programmed cell death. As a mass of cancerous cells grows, it can develop into a tumor.

Answer:

Disclaimer: I haven't had a proper science class in ages and I forgot most of the terms. I probably don't have the correct answer that you're looking for, but this is to the best of my ability.

Mutations in cells can cause cancer as it will compete with other cells for energy and space. It will continually multiply/rapidly grow and can't be rid of as its internal system of apoptosis was hindered during the mutation. Mutations can occur due to damages in the DNA.

Natural selection

Explanation:

Malthus's ideas about geometric population growth implied that: resources in every generation would be limited, therefore individuals in every generation would have to compete for those resources

  • Thomas Malthus argued that the food supply increased linearly while population size increased exponentially
  • The central theme of Malthus' work was that population growth would always overpower food supply growth, creating perpetual states of hunger, disease, and struggle
  • The natural, ever-present struggle for survival caught the attention of Darwin, and he extended Malthus' principle to the evolutionary scheme
  • Malthus’ writings ultimately inspired Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection

resources in every generation would be limited, therefore individuals in every generation would have to compete for those resources.

Surfactant:
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-D

Explanation:

Pulmonary Surfactant is a complex substance produced by the pneumocytes epithelial II cells in the alveolar sac.

The surfactant is composed of the proteins and lipids which plays a role in keeping alveoli open by reducing the surface tension formed between the air and liquid.

The surfactant act by forming a monolayer surface film which helps reduce the surface tension.

Thus, option-D is the correct answer.

Answer:

             Sample-C is the hydrogen.

Solution:

            Data Given:

                                Volume  = 5 cm³

                                Mass of Sample-C  =  0.00045 g

                                Reference Density  =  0.00009 g/cm³

            Formula Used;

                                Density  =  Mass / Volume

                                Density  =  0.00045 g / 5 cm³

                                Density  =  0.00009 g/cm³
