Do people have to be competitive in order to succeed ?~please answer this in your own words I need ideas

Yes, because if you want to be successful you need to be competitive in order to achieve it. Being competitive means having motivation to keep going if you fail at something because you want to be in the first place, and to be able to do that you need to get better and not give up because you failed once.
