It depends on what the bully does. If he/she punches you then hit back. You would get in trouble for that but I'd rather get in trouble than get beat up all the time. If he/she hurts you with words, just ignore them. If they really do get on your nerves then respond back but don't start an arguement because you'll get mad and that's exactly what they want.

There are numerous things you could do to AVOID bullying. One way is to find ways to avoid them in the first place. Figure out where they may be and avoid them always. Unless avoidable then attempt finding a friend group to walk around with, this will make the bullies less enticed to do something when a crowd of people surround you. If all else fails, consult an adult to help you with the situation, may it be your parents, teacher, disciplinarian, or principal.
