Answer:

If Derek wants to take picture only in infrared light he can use IR filter. If He use Xnite 330 filter than he could disable infrared light and use only ultraviolet light for photography. All the companies such as Canon, Sony, Nikon and Panasonic have these types of cameras and filters.

IF user want a camera that has the capability to capture images in both ultraviolet and infrared lights. He can use UV/IR camera. This type of camera have both features. If user want to capture the images by using only one feature he can use different filters to disable any of the feature temporarily.
