Teens should be able to perform responsibilities such as :

Overseeing their younger ones especially in the absence of parents. Taking care of the younger ones could be done by either the male teens or female.

Cleaning functions such as washing, mowing and other chores which as to do with tidying up. In most cases, maybe due to physical and cultural designs, males are often charged with the role of overtaking more strenuous chores and hence, mowing functions may be allocated to male teens while washing dishes and clothes are often apportioned to females.

Adults should be responsible for the financial wellbeing, security as well as managerial and decision making in the home. With male adults shouldering a large percentage of the home finance and the security of his family.

Females should be more burdened with the wellbeing of the children as they usually spend more time with them.

I think that by spending time with the child ,doing things that are fun to them, is one way for one to demonstrate their love to their child because the child might feel like you are listening to them. Another way would be to give them things they want. This may sound just like one is spoiling the child and bribing them for affection but this may actually mean, once again, that you are listening. And lastly, a way to demenstrate affection would be to just know the childs feelings and respectfully react because ones not all up in the childs face "hover".
