Gwar [14]

Answer: One type of map uses the cytogenetic location to describe a gene’s position. The cytogenetic location is based on a distinctive pattern of bands created when chromosomes are stained with certain chemicals. Another type of map uses the molecular location, a precise description of a gene's position on a chromosome. The molecular location is based on the sequence of DNA building blocks (base pairs) that make up the chromosome. Buttt I don’t know if this is the answer your looking for. Explain how fossils can give information about past environmental conditions. Give at least two examples. Answer using complete
Anna35 [415]
Fossils can give information about past environmental conditions by showing the type of animal they belonged to. If a scientist found a whale fossil in a desert, he/she could assume that the desert was once an ocean as whales only live in oceans. If someone found a fossil of a lizard that inhabited trees, in the middle of the ocean, then he/she could assume that the ocean didn't exist at one point and instead, there might have been a forest in it's place.
Hope this helps!

Which statement best summarizes the importance of meiosis to reproduction?
Vesna [10]

Answer: The correct answer is It produces gametes that are needed for sexual reproduction.

Explanation-

Meiosis is a type of cell division, which is a characteristic feature of sexually reproducing organisms. It produces reproductive cells called gametes, which possess half number of chromosomes as compared to their parental cells ( which are diploid). Gametes from each parent fuse to form a diploid zygote that develops into an individual.

Thus, it summarizes the importance of meiosis to reproduction.
