Math question need help with substation please?
Juliette [100K]

2 solutions

X= 16

X=49

Step-by-step explanation:

original equation

x-11√x+28 = 0

   Isolate

     -11√x = -x-28+0

  Tidy up

     11√x = x+28

  Raise both sides to the second power

     (11√x)2 = (x+28)2

After squaring

     121x = x2+56x+784

Plug in 49 for  x

      11√(49) = (49)+28

Simplify

      11√49 = 77

      Solution checks !!

     Solution is:

     x = 49

Plug in 16 for  x

      11√(16) = (16)+28

Simplify

      11√16 = 44

      Solution checks !!

     Solution is:

     x = 16

Im doing decimals greatest to least and i need help with number 12 and 13
erma4kov [3.2K]

(I know there isnt any real problem here to solve, but heres a tip on how to solve greatest to least with decimal problems)

1. Just because a number looks big, doesn't mean it is big

Example: 1.00000000000001 < 1.1

just look at the numbers ^ and dont just hastily read it over assuming that 1.1 is smaller because it "has less digits"

2. Negative numbers are... opposite. and they are less than positive numbers

-3.4 > -4.1

Why is this? Well, if you look on a line, with the point 0 in the middle, you can see that -3.4 is not as far away from 0 as -4.1 is. So the idea is to apply opposite logic for negative numbers

I hope these tips helped!! :D

HELP! GIVING BRAINLIEST IF ANSWERED CORRECTLY AND FOR EACH SECTION!!!
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

[14] 139

[15] 90

[16] 41

[17] 49

[18] 139

[19] 131

Step-by-step explanation:

[14] Since m ∠ CEB is vertical with m ∠ AED = 139

[15] Knowing that m ∠FBD = 90 degree then m ∠ CEF = 90 degree

[16] Since m ∠ DEB is vertical to m ∠ADC Thus answer = 41

Note: vertical angles are angles opposite each other where two lines cross.

[17] Since m ∠ FED = 90 degree and m ∠ DEB = 41 then 90 - 41 = 49

[18] To Find m ∠CEB we have to subtract from m ∠ DEB

180 - 41 = 139

[19] Knowing that m ∠ FED = 90 degree and m ∠DEB = 41

Then m ∠ AEF =  90 +41=131
